Rose Oil Solid

Rose oil solid is a deep purple, creamy substance obtained from unfermented fresh pink roses using the extraction method. This substance is known as rose oil solid which is one of the raw materials used in the production of absolute - a primary material used by the perfume and cosmetics industries.

Rose Oil Solid Production
650 - 700 kg of rose flowers are put into flower boilers and 1500 kg hexane (petroleum ether) is added as solvent. The ingredients of the rose flower (rose oil, natural substances and rose wax) are dissolved in a hexane bath for 30 minutes to ensure that these ingredients are mixed with hexane. After this process, the hexane mixture is transferred to the resting tank via the pump. In the resting tank, it is left until the residue and water sediments settle to the base and the water is drained through the filter. The hexane mixture is then transferred to the oil boiler. As the hexane mixture in the oil boiler is allowed to boil, another 1500 kg of pure hexane is added. In order to be able to extract all of the dissolved substances from the rose flowers, a second hexane bath is made for 15 minutes. At the end of this process, the ingredients of the rose flowers (rose oil, natural substances and rose wax) are transferred via the pump to the first hexane tank in the form of a hexane mixture. Following this, 500 kg of water is added to the rose flower boiler and the content is vaporized and condensed in coolers and transferred to the pure hexane tank, i.e. the second hexane tank. This process is repeated until the residue of hexane in the flower tank has been completely removed. At the end of this process, the cover of the tank is opened and the rose flower pulp is discharged.

The mixture transferred to the oil boiler is boiled until 1.5 - 2 buckets are left at the bottom of the boiler. The hexane in the mixture is vaporized and the residue is condensed in coolers and transferred to the second hexane tank. At the end of the boiling process, the boiler is allowed to cool. Once the oil has cooled, it is transferred to buckets and then to the vacuum boiler.

The oily mixture, which is transferred to the vacuum boiler, is boiled with very hot vapor. When boiling starts at 60-70 degrees, the vacuum pumps are operated and the decomposed hexane is completely removed via the vacuum process. At the end of this process, a water glass of pure alcohol is poured into the solid oil at the bottom of the vacuum boiler so that the remaining hexane odor is transferred to the alcohol. The boiling is continued to decompose the alcohol from the solid oil by vacuuming it. After this process, the produced solid rose oil is transferred to 5 kg - tin containers. The covers of these containers are soldered and the containers are stored.
